The defense also accused prosecutors of improper questioning and for withholding higher-quality drone footage from the fatal night of Aug. Rittenhouse’s defense team planned to ask for a mistrial, accusing the district attorney of, “prosecutorial overreaching,” and acting in, “bad faith,” according to NBC News. The trial has been bumpy for both the defense and prosecutors. The charges stem from the aftermath of protests in Kenosha, Wis., last year where Rittenhouse, 18, shot and killed two men and injured another with an AR-style semi-automatic weapon. Jury deliberations continued on Wednesday over Rittenhouse’s fate, who faces first-degree intentional homicide, attempted first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless homicide and two counts of reckless endangerment.
